Good/Bad Webpages
When it comes to having a successful webpage, there are many
different factors you need to consider, such as digital marketing, strategy,
and design & development. Using colors and animations in an efficient
manner can enhance the overall design. First, it is important to make sure
you always create contrast between the content and its background. There are
millions of users in the world who are not able to distinguish between colors
and their various shades. Sharp color contrast assists those with color
deficiencies. In addition, colors can also be used to orientate, indicate or
even direct the user through the website. Secondly, having engaging and interactive
animations is also a great way to maximize the user experience. Even the
simplest of animations can take a great website and make it exceptional. One of
the greatest things about animation is that it can serve a variety of purposes.
Stuffedsafari.com
and Store.ty.com are both websites that sell name brand stuffed animals,
however, the websites themselves show significant differences in the
layout/design. Stuffed Safari is a well made website that uses color contrast
as well as animations to enhance their users experience. When scrolling over
tabs, they turn a different color, which makes it very easy to navigate. Also,
the words are easy to read against the neutral background. On the contrary, the
TY Store uses vibrant colors throughout. A color scheme with many
colors makes the design look too busy. Also, there is no distinction
between the tabs themselves, which makes it hard to decipher which words are
tabs and which words are not. Stuffed Safari maximizes its space. There are
no areas that appear empty, which makes it more appealing to they eye. On the other hand, the TY Store has open spaces that draws the users eyes to that instead of the
websites content.
Overall, Stuffed Safari is a more inviting and functional website.

ReplyDeleteHi Taylor! I agree with you that Stuffed Safari is a good website with the way they laid out the website and how it is easy to navigate and find all the information. I agree that the way the other website is laid out is very messy and the colors distract the reader from what they were originally intending to find. I like the way you set up your smackdown and found it really interesting!

It makes it easy on visitors to the website to know how to navigate it. Also, TY Store is a very sloppy and distracted design. I do not like how it is very difficult to try to navigate though the website.
ReplyDeleteHello Taylor, Stuffed Safari website was by far the better website, it was very much easy on the eyes, the colours went with each other and it kept you engaged. When looking at the ty website after a while the bright colours started to irritate my eyes and the colour scheme seemed a little random compared to Stuffed Safari.
